Description The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while preparing and serving beverages in the Pedal Pub and at portable bars during special events throughout SkyPark’s operating season. This position plays a key role in creating a fun, safe, and memorable experience for guests through quality drinks, friendly interactions, and teamwork. Bartenders help support increased operations during peak times and special events while maintaining SkyPark’s commitment to excellence. This position requires availability on weekends and holidays. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming, upbeat environment. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to SkyPark standards. Take drink orders throughout the bar area, not just behind the bar. Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with all state and company alcohol service laws and policies. Follow the established chain of command; communicate with management before making operational or service-related decisions. Communicate with guests and fellow staff using clear, professional, and enthusiastic tone and body language. Work as a team with all SkyPark personnel to maintain an effective, friendly, and efficient service atmosphere. Handle cash and operate the POS system accurately and responsibly. Maintain accurate inventory and proper pour control; notify management of shortages or discrepancies, immediately. Set up, arrange, and stock bars before, during, and after service to ensure proper presentation and supplies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, patio, and storage areas. Follow all sanitation, safety, and cleanliness standards. Monitor guest behavior and consumption to ensure responsible alcohol service. Assist with food deliveries and table cleanup for both indoor and outdoor seating areas. Support special events by assisting with portable bar setups and themed beverage service. Assist with bar opening, closing, and restocking duties. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Management Team. Requirements Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have or obtain a valid San Bernardino County Food Handlers Card. Must have or obtain a valid Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification. Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and common cocktail recipes. Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Basic math skills and the ability to handle money and operate a POS system accurately. Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods. Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor settings, including tight or crowded spaces. Demonstrates professionalism, respects management structure, and follows company policies.
