Welcome to Ormskirk Food & Drink Market, the original indoor market hall brought back to life as an immersive social space to eat, meet and play – all under one historic roof!
Our market offers seven vendors serving up a variety of tasty street food to be enjoyed in the original market hall or up on the mezzanine dining space. In the bar area, we have an abundant drinks menu to enjoy ‘til late and here you’ll find our stage, showcasing live music throughout the weekend, plus live sports streaming across multiple screens!
Whether it’s family hangouts, fun with friends, doggy days, celebrations or date nights, the Market is a space for everyone to eat, meet and play.

THE EXPERIENCE

EAT the whole day away at the market, where we’ll be giving a diverse mix of independent businesses the opportunity to showcase their food, grow their brand, and bring you some of the best eats in the area.
MEET for cocktails, coffees, beers or spritzes, and to dance the night away to live soloists and local bands.
PLAY with your pals, parents, kids, or canines… There’s a chance for everyone to simply kick back to enjoy some live sports.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Bartender in a a restaurant / cocktail bar.
• Free pouring experience preferred.
• Basic cocktail & product knowledge.
• Knowledge and awareness of the Food and Beverage Operation.
• Health and Safety awareness.
• Motivational attitude to make positive and constructive input to the team.
• Flexible and adapts quickly and positively to new situations.
• Organized and uses a systematic approach.
• Positive communicator and team player.

  Above all, successful applicants will be expected to be passionate! You must have a passion for your profession, a knowledge of hospitality and previous experience in food and beverage setting and experience. We’re looking for lovers of great service with proactive personalities that can anticipate the needs of those around them.

• Help with drink mixing or service where necessary and assisting in stocking and leaning.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and continually monitor how we can improve guest experience.
• Ensure drinks service is consistent and high quality at all times.
• Handle customer feedback and provide adequate solutions to customer complaints.
• Oversee the cleanliness of staff and the physical bar area, paying attention to possible health hazards and regulation violations.
• Create a positive work environment for yourself and others around you.
• Positively promote sales within the department and maximize sales opportunities by upselling to customers.
