REPORTS TO General Manager SCHEDULE This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. Hours may be different every week and schedules are not set or guaranteed. Weekend availability is a must. Sunday Dinner and Monday Lunch shifts are a must. Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 21 years of age Knowledge of cocktails, beer, and wine, including recipes, history, base ingredients, and jiggers Ensure a good Guest experience--present drink menu, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages; take orders; promptly serve food and drink, and check in with Guests regarding their experience; up-sell whenever possible Record drink or food orders accurately and immediately after receipt into POS; Accept and process Guest payment and make the correct change as applicable. Fill in as a server as directed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Restaurant Maintain inventory and bar supplies; assist in restocking and replenishing Ensure the cleanliness of the bar area (counters, tables, equipment, floors, etc.) always Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages. Wash and sterilize glassware as needed EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE High school education is required; Hospitality or other degrees are a plus Minimum 1-year experience in the restaurant/customer service industry preferred PHYSICAL Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours in length Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds

Responsibilities

The Bartender is responsible for providing first-class service and incredible hospitality to guests, which includes presenting menus, making recommendations, taking orders, and promptly serving food and drinks. Key duties also involve accurately recording orders into the POS system, processing payments, maintaining bar inventory and cleanliness, and assisting with restocking and replenishing supplies.
