This role requires expertise in beverage preparation, strong knowledge of alcohol service laws, and the ability to create a welcoming and refined bar atmosphere. Key Responsibilities: Expert Beverage Service Prepare and serve premium cocktails, wines, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and consistency. Maintain thorough knowledge of bar menu offerings, wine lists, and current beverage trends. Ensure compliance with South Carolina alcohol service laws and Club policies. Member & Guest Engagement Provide attentive, personalized service. Anticipate guest needs while maintaining professionalism and discretion. Monitor alcohol consumption and follow responsible service standards. Bar Operations Maintain inventory of liquors, supplies, and beverages; notify management when replenishment is needed. Ensure freshness and quality of fruits, juices, and garnishes. Arrange bar displays to meet predetermined presentation standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar area in compliance with Health Code regulations. Accurately and efficiently enter orders into the POS system. Support dining room service when needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Experience in Hospitality: Previous experience in a bartending and serving role within a fine dining or upscale environment is preferred. Professional Appearance: Maintain a well-groomed and polished appearance that reflects the standards of our community. Strong Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to engage with members and guests effectively. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, ensuring that every aspect of service meets our high standards. Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as our community thrives during these times. Certifications Must possess a current ServSafe Alcohol Certification or be able to obtain certification within 30 days of employment. Must adhere to all alcohol awareness and safety standards. Physical Requirements: Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often up to 8 hours during shifts. Lifting and Carrying: Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds regularly, including trays, supplies, and equipment. Bending and Reaching: Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to access supplies and equipment behind the bar or in the dining area. Manual Dexterity: Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to efficiently handle bar tools and serve beverages. Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to thrive in a busy environment, managing multiple tasks while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
