Job Title:                    Bartender Part Time      Department:               Parks and Recreation                 Reports To:                 Recreation Facility Manager      FLSA Status:              non-exempt       Pay Grade:                 02         Approved By:            Parks and Recreation Division Manager  Approved Date:          03/24/2022          SUMMARY  Maintains bar stock and serves patrons beverages within the state guidelines by performing the following duties.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.   1.         Ensure the safety of patrons and staff through accident prevention by enforcing all state ABC laws and regulations for the serving of alcohol. 2.         Stock bar with needed liquor, ice, garbage containers and related items. 3.         Stock liquor cabinets as required. 4.         Set up and tear down of bars at each event, after an event wipe down bars and clean all equipment, take trash to dumpster. 5.         Responsible for accounting of all liquor used and turning in breakage to supervisor after each event.  Assist with monthly liquor inventory if asked. 6.         Represents the POA in a positive, friendly and courteous manner in conduct and on the phone.   QUALIFICATIONS   To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be 21 or older and available to work nights, weekends and holidays.   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of training and experience.   MATHEMATICAL SKILLS  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.    REASONING ABILITY  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS   The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. At times will be required to lift up to 50 pounds and stand on feet for hours at a time.   WORK ENVIRONMENT   The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
