BARTENDER

We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Bartender to join our motivated team in the Salthill Hotel. Reporting to the F&B Manager, you will provide a friendly and efficient service to the hotel guests.

REQUIREMENTS

2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
Be enthusiastic, customer focused & have the ability to work under pressure.
Have extensive knowledge of beers, cocktails, coffees & the ability to upsell.
Have a “can do” attitude & the ability to work on own initiative.
Have an outgoing and friendly personality with excellent communication skills.
Be available to work evenings, weekends & holiday periods.
Fluent English

Responsibilities

Meeting and exceeding guests’ expectations regarding cocktails and beverages.
Preparation of all drink garnishes and responsible for keeping the garnish station continuously stocked during shifts.
Responsible for keeping the bar area clean and organised, maintaining all sanitation standards of the hotel.
Co-operation and good communication with your colleagues to maintain a good team morale throughout the hotel.
Responsible for crafting original beverage menu items and designing new and innovative cocktails.
Ensuring accurate, knowledgeable, and thorough service of cocktails and beverages to all guests.
Ability to ascertain guest satisfaction, confidently offering suggestions, and responding urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
The position requires a degree of food service knowledge.
Assisting with bar deliveries and the maintenance of stores as well as the bar back yard and bin areas.
Attendance at training as and when it is deemed necessary by management.
Ensure defective or faulty equipment is reported and follow up on any maintenance issues to ensure they are rectified in a timely manner.
Ensure all financial procedures especially around guest billing are followed and shifts are closed out and balanced.
Any other reasonable duties as and when it is deemed necessary by the Operations Manager.
