The Distillery Restaurants Corp., creators of Cluny Bistro, El Catrin, Pure Spirits Oyster House & Grill, Madrina Bar y Tapas, District Pizza and Distillery Events (Archeo and The Distillery District - Loft) are seeking an experienced and motivated Bartender with a strong serving background and a passion for creating a flawless dining experiences at our busiest time of the year. The ideal candidates not only understand that exceptional guest service is at the heart of hospitality but that they are ambassadors to Toronto's unique food and beverage culture. Our Bartenders provide beautifully crafted cocktails to our guests in a high volume, fast-paced environment. You'll have an exceptional understanding of mixology and quality control – with a notable passion and desire to learn more about wines and inspired cocktails. You must already have a passion for mixing beautiful cocktails and a friendly smile for guests and colleagues alike. You must already have legal permission to work in Canada in order to be considered for this role. These positions will end in January 2026. The DRC Employee perks include: $17.60 per hour, plus tips In-house dining perks Team building activities and events Bold and lively work environments The chance to work alongside an exceptional team What you’ll be doing: Exhibit, encourage and motivate the DRC’s beliefs and core values Commit to mastering a complete working knowledge of the drinks menu and ingredients Ensure all beverage descriptions, promotions and any other information are clearly communicated to guests and team members Check identification to ensure all guests are of age to consume alcohol Mix ingredients, garnish glasses and serve alcoholic and/or non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely manner Accommodate guest allergies and special requests accordingly Process payments; provide accurate billing and support documents for any Credit Card(s), Gift Card(s), Gift Certificate(s), etc. accurately and efficiently Maintain a clean work station while adhering to food safety, sanitation and hygiene guidelines set by the Public Health Department and the Company Other duties as assigned or required Learn and grow with a great restaurant company with a focus on our successful future and yours! What we would like you to bring to the bar: EXPERIENCE. Minimum three (3) year's experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Experience with a point-of-sale system, preferably Silverware, is considered an asset TRAINING. You must have a valid Smart Serve certification. Any related training certifications are highly valued. COMMUNICATION SKILLS. Bartenders must be able to carefully listen to orders, explain food and beverage items and make recommendations. ADAPTABILITY. Our ideal candidate can work in a fast-paced, changing environment with ease. LEARNING-ORIENTED. We're looking for a life-long learner with an insatiable desire to positively impact the experience of our guests and restaurant reviews. EDUCATION. A degree/diploma in food and beverage, hospitality management is considered an asset.
