11:59 Bar : Cafe is a communal meeting place located in the downtown financial core. It is relaxed, welcoming, and social. As a Server and Bartender you are primarily responsible for serving, with some knowledge or willingness to learn the bar. You must be warm and welcoming to guests with knowledge of the menu. The right candidate is someone who is self-motivated, takes great pride in their work, can time manage effectively and is focused and organized.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience (we are willing to train, coach & develop new candidates to restaurant hospitality)
  • Knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks; keen desire to expand knowledge and keep on trends
  • Ability to execute and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to details and time management skills with the ability to multitask when required
  • Familiarity with handling cash or using POS systems
  • Able to work flexible hours which may include evenings (closing), weekends, and/or holidays
  • A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to learn
  • Ability to carry and lift up to 25-40lb
  • Smart Serve required

Duties:

  • Provide a great first impression when guests arrive, and a lasting impression as you invite departing guests back for another visit
  • Prepare beverages, accurately to recipe specs, and off-menu items such as classic cocktails
  • Answer questions about food, cocktails, wine and beer, and be able to give recommendations
  • Accurately input orders through POS system and accurately handle cash and credit card payments
  • Stock and maintain all bar products including garnishes
  • Set up and take apart bar area and glass dishwasher machine at the start and end of each shift while maintaining cleanliness and sanitization of workspace and bar equipment
  • Count and take inventory of all beverages and supplies and assist manager with inventory ordering
  • Supporting other restaurant tasks and teammates as required
