The Neighbourhood Group of Companies that operates The Wooly Pub (Guelph), Borealis Grille & Bar (Guelph & Kitchener), Miijidaa Café + Bistro (Guelph) and Park Eatery (Guelph) are looking for a Bartender / Server to work at one of our operations.

We are looking for a motivated individual with at least 3 years of professional serving experience in a similar role.

• 3+ years of experience in a high volume, fast paced establishment
• Ability to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Service-oriented mindset with the ability to multitask
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• SmartServe certification
• A pleasant friendly attitude, and a strong passion for hospitality and growth

As a Bartender you will bring:

• Bartending experience is preferred; service and hospitality- oriented attitude a must
• Creativeness in cocktail and beverage creation that have a distinctly local focus
• Inventive in ways of eliminating the use of products not sourced from our own backyard
• Passion about VQA and what local craft brewers are doing around us
• Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively, and interest in learning new skills
• Ability to move or adjust heavy objects, stand for prolonged periods, bend, stretch
• Work closely with the leaders and team members to drive lunch and dinner service each day by creating a memorable guest experience
• Optimize your section turnover by achieving flawless operations
• Exercise your entrepreneurial skills and unique service offering by being a business owner and taking responsibility for your service, every shift
• Be required to demonstrate sound knowledge of our steps of service, menu items, and food preparation
• Create an environment of connected, committed teamwork through non-stop communication and the willingness to help others win
• Be the gracious host of the party, keeping fun the focus of every interaction
