The Leamington Portuguese Community Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating Portuguese culture while serving our community through social events, dinners, fundraisers, and celebrations. We host weddings, banquets, cultural events, and private functions in our banquet hall and lounge.
We are looking for skilled, professional bartenders who understand the hospitality industry’s unique schedule demands and take pride in providing excellent service.

If you’ve worked in restaurants, bars, or event venues, you already know—when the rest of the world is celebrating, we’re working. Our busiest days are the holidays, weekends, and special events. That’s when our guests need you most, and when your skills shine. We’re looking for team members who understand that service industry professionals are often “on call” for the busiest times of the year, and who embrace the rewarding challenge of making events unforgettable.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedule
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs
• Reliable transportation to and from the club

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar
• Provide a welcoming, friendly, and professional experience for all guests
• Monitor and maintain responsible alcohol service in compliance with Smart Serve guidelines
• Handle cash and POS transactions accurately (Square)
• Assist with event setup, closing duties, and occasional table service when needed
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service flow during events
