JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, with experience in a dining room environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for creating exceptional experiences for our guests through excellent service, knowledge of beverages, and attention to detail. You will also be responsible for training staff on an ongoing basis. There may be some travel involved.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous bartending experience in a restaurant is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and ability to handle food in compliance with health regulations.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
  • Familiarity with brewing techniques is a plus.
  • Familiarity with wine and regions
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails and ability to create menus and new drinks.
  • Ability to manage a floor when under pressure.
  • knowledge of equipment for the bar: ie gases, kegs, lines.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including proper food handling and safety practices.
  • Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods while maintaining quality standards.
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages to management.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service during events such as groups or catering functions.
  • Uphold all health and safety regulations within the bar environment.
