The Meikleour Arms (4 Star Gold, 1 Rosette, AA Best Guest Accommodation Scotland 2022, AA BEST Pub Scotland 2019) is a high-end boutique hotel with a 80 cover award winning restaurant attracting a varied customer base all year long: locals, salmon anglers, golfers, shooting parties and holiday makers.

We have recently completed the extension of our new bar area are looking for an experienced bartender/ server. While focus will be on running the bar there will also be serving shifts (1 rosette standard). We are looking for an extremely organised and conscientious individual, able to take up extra responsibilities if needed.

  • Your CV shows commitment, adaptability and a true passion for hospitality acquired in large or small establishments.
  • Great communication and presentation, attention to details and a big welcoming smile is a must. Polite and Professional.
  • Good knowledge of wines, beers, gins and whiskies. While cocktails have not been traditionally popular with our customer base this I something we might want to develop.
  • Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible serving practices
  • Good knowledge of EPOS system. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash register records

Benefits:

  • Competitive package. Full time (40h)/ part time (20h), permanent job, all overtime hours accounted for Hourly pay = £15.13/hour (£13.50/hour rate+ holiday pay) and in addition you will receive tips from around £1.50/hour (tips from an HRMC compliant Tronc system).
