JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bartender/Supervisor to lead our Event Room operations and support our Event Manager. The right candidate will understand cost control; they can monitor and adjust inventory and staffing levels without overstocking or overstaffing. They handle logistics and time management through strategic coordination of deliveries, cleaning and service schedules, including the set-up and take-down of the Event Room. During events, they will delegate and communicate tasks for Event staff, mentor new hires, and foster a positive work environment. This role acts as Front of House, combining hands-on bartending skills with leadership responsibilities to deliver a seamless and engaging guest experience!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 19+ years of age (required)
  • Minimum 1–3 years of bartending/serving experience (required)
  • Previous bar or restaurant supervisory experience (asset)
  • Valid Serve It Right! Saskatchewan certification (required)
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (required)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
  • Food Safe and First Aid/AED (asset)
  • General knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office programs (asset)

Responsibilities
  • Must be available to work Tuesday through Saturday, shifts include daytime, evening, and every weekend
  • Prepare and serve premium cocktails and drink orders; operate POS and enter payments
  • Open/close Event Room and registers
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of Event Room and Kitchen area
  • Clear tables, operate dishwasher, and polish glassware
  • Move furniture and ensure Event Room is properly set up/taken down
  • Provide tours of the distillery/facilities to guests
  • Respond to guest and management inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate restocking as needed
  • Assist with the staging, prep, and cleanup of Event room
  • Local pick-ups and deliveries of supplies/products for events
  • Confidently delegate tasks and maintain clear, respectful communication with Event Staff
  • Supervises, trains, and mentors Event team members
  • Work closely with Event Manager and undertake assigned duties
  • Promote and maintain a safe work environment and quarterly participation in Safety Committee Meetings
