We are hiring full-time and part-time Bartenders to join our team! As a Bartender at Washington Golf and Country Club, you will be responsible to set up and prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Responsibilities: Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available Acquire/stock additional supplies as necessary, ensuring proper par levels for all items including beer, wine, liquor, paper products (cups, lids, napkins, etc), as well as mixers and garnishes. Follow set up procedures Prepare garnishes, mixes, and pre-mixed drinks Greet members and guests Mix, prepare and serve drinks to members and guests and mix and prepare drinks ordered by servers according to the recipes approved by the Manager Ring in beverages through POS, ensuring accuracy and getting signatures on receipts when applicable Report complaints to a manager as soon as they occur Maintain and clean bar area and equipment and take out trash/recycles Adhere to all closing duties & procedures, including securing product, cleaning the space, and locking the bar Attend staff meetings including pre-shift (line-up) sessions as required Serve drinks to members and guests seated at lounge tables in the absence of a server. Thanking members and guests and inviting them to return Continually practice beverage and revenue control procedures Carefully follow all laws and club policies and procedures regarding alcoholic beverage service and inform manager if continued service to a member or guest is in question Regularly inspect all front- and back-of-the-house service areas and equipment to ensure that sanitation, safety, energy management, preventive maintenance, and other standards of the department are met Other duties as assigned Requirements 21+ Years of Age (Due to State Resrictions) HS Diploma or GED Experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified Or any similar combination of education and experience Demonstrated polished, professional appearance and presentation Experience providing excellent customer service Demonstrated organization and coordination skills and ability to meet deadlines and ability to multi-task in a sporadic, fast-paced environment Ability to maintain quality and safety standards Strong reasoning ability and critical thinking skills Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills to a wide variety of constituents Excellent interpersonal/relationship-building skills Physical Demands and Work Environment Must be able to stand, walk, squat, kneel, reach, bend, twist, crawl, climb, clean, and lift up to 40 pounds Must be able to handle hot and cold interior and exterior conditions and exposure to dust, fumes and gases Must be able to work in close proximity to moving machinery Independent mobility Pay Rate: Starting at $16.00 per hour Why Washington Golf and Country Club? Responsibilities
The Bartender is responsible for setting up, preparing, and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring adequate supplies are stocked, and maintaining cleanliness of the bar area and equipment. This includes greeting members, accurately ringing in sales through POS, adhering to all service laws, and performing closing duties.
