OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Bartender to join our vibrant team.
We are a busy Restaurant & bar with Boutique rooms in the heart of Shrewsbury Town Centre and pride ourselves on friendly, professional service in which we always go the extra mile for our customers.
The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, engaging with customers, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Your expertise in bartending and food safety will contribute to the overall guest experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience in cocktail making, table service and have excellent customers relation skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in bartending or a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing inventory.
  • A friendly demeanour with strong communication skills to engage effectively with customers.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
  • Engage with customers, providing recommendations and answering any questions regarding the drink menu.
  • Monitor customer consumption of alcohol responsibly, ensuring compliance with licensing laws.
  • Handle cash and card transactions accurately, maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting any shortages or discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders when applicable.
  • Uphold food safety standards and hygiene practices at all times.
