SALARY: £32,479.20 per annum OTE* HOURS: 40 hours per week, any 5 days in 7, including weekends. *The on target earning potential for this role is £32,479.20 per annum based on a 48-hour contract - comprising a base salary of £29,969.20, plus a qualified estimate of £3,510 in gratuities and service charge. Please note this role is paid hourly so this is a projected salary and OTE. ABOUT US The Wild Rabbit in Kingham is a fine dining restaurant and boutique hotel in the heart of the Cotswolds. Recognised in the Top 50 Gastropubs, the Top 50 Boutique Hotels, and awarded 3 AA Rosettes, The Wild Rabbit blends culinary excellence with warm, authentic hospitality. Our bar programme, led by Sam Brown, Head of Creative Bar, reflects the same ethos. Working closely with Daylesford Farm, the bar team uses organic, seasonal ingredients (herbs, botanicals, fruits, and ferments) to create cocktails that are both refined and rooted in provenance. With techniques such as clarifications, infusions, fermentation, and fat washing, we combine modern creativity with natural ingredients to deliver an experience that complements our fine dining philosophy. ABOUT THE ROLE We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our bar team. This role requires both technical skill and a passion for warm, knowledgeable service. You will prepare and serve drinks with precision, contribute to the development of our cocktail list, and share the stories of our ingredients and techniques with guests. As a Bartender at The Wild Rabbit, you’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills in an environment that values creativity, provenance, and craftsmanship. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic serves to the highest standard Work with seasonal ingredients from Daylesford Farm, creating drinks that celebrate provenance and sustainability Apply advanced cocktail-making techniques such as fat washing, clarifications, infusions, and fermentations Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar, ensuring equipment is polished and in excellent condition Provide warm and knowledgeable hospitality, guiding guests through our cocktail list and wider beverage programme Support the Head of Drinks in developing new cocktails and refining the drinks offering Uphold smooth and efficient service during busy periods, maintaining consistency and attention to detail Demonstrate awareness of allergens and dietary requirements, offering confident guidance to guests SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS Previous bartending experience in a fine dining or luxury hospitality environment Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer Passion for provenance, seasonal ingredients, and creative drinks-making Technical proficiency with cocktail techniques; experience with fat washing, clarifications, and fermentations is advantageous but training can be provided Excellent communication and guest service skills, with a natural warmth and confidence Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards of service and presentation A collaborative, team-focused approach with a drive to develop skills and grow within the role PERKS & BENEFITS Discounts: A range of discounts on our products, treatments, and dining experiences from day one Volunteering Days: One paid day per year to volunteer with a charity of your choice Private Medical: Subsidised private medical insurance through Bupa Pension Scheme: Pay up to 9% of your salary into your pension each month; we contribute up to 4.5% Life Assurance: Cover equivalent to one year of your annual salary Mental Health Support: 24/7 access to our Employee Assistance Programme *About gratuities & service charge: Gratuities (tips) are paid on a pro-rata basis.
