Description
Liberty Cruise is looking for Bartenders to join our team and be the first point of contact for our guests. You should have solid organizational and people skills to ensure our guests have a positive experience from the moment they arrive until their departure. We are looking for someone who will have the patience, personality, and perseverance to thrive in this role. Ultimately, you’ll ensure we provide excellent guest service with high standards and a pleasant cruise experience to our guests. Availability: Must have open availability on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, & holidays. Responsibilities: Prepare the bar by setting up bar tools, decorations, condiments, candles, etc. Craft and serve cocktails and any other beverage requested. Provide an excellent overall dining experience for our guests. Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies). Up-sell additional products when appropriate. Take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software or order slips. Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet the minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages. Communicate order details to the Kitchen Staff. Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs. Deliver checks and collect bill payments. Carry dirty plates, glasses, and silverware to the kitchen for cleaning. Follow all relevant health department regulations. Conclude the dining experience by acknowledging guests and inviting them to return. Assist with special events as needed. Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently. Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary. Requirements: Proven work experience as a Bartender. Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system. Attentiveness and patience with customers. Excellent presentation skills. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Active listening and effective communication skills. Team player. Available to work a variety of hours, days, and shifts, including weekends. High school diploma; food safety training is a plus.
