Description Job Title: Base Area Operations – Administrative Supervisor Type of Position: Full-time, Year Round Schedule: Generally, five 8-hour days/week, includes weekends/holidays during Winter Four 10-hour days per week during Summer Pay Rate: $24.00 - $29.00/hr, based on skills and experience Job Posting Deadline: October 20, 2025 (or until position is filled) Are you detail-oriented, talented communicator interested in being an integral part of the ins and outs of ski area base operations? Summary Responsible for supporting base area operations staff (including area maintenance, housekeeping, vehicle maintenance, and purchasing/receiving) and other departments as needed. Executes day-to-day operations of the work order system providing support to departments and technicians utilizing the system. Assist managers with administrative tasks. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities. Essential Functions Ensure work order system is current, usable and organized. Assist those requesting work orders and those completing work orders in using the system and checking status of work orders. Assist department leaders with screening applicants and setting up interviews. Communicate with Director and manager(s) about work order needs, projects, contractors, and staff, facilitating communications and work order progress to completion. Support departments with training (i.e. safety, etc.), daily operations, etc., as needed. Support manager(s) with department(s) schedule(s). Ensure important contacts are updated as projects evolve (i.e. coordinate communication across departments, agencies, companies, etc.). Support department(s) with weekly/monthly meetings (i.e. create agenda, secure room, etc.). Assist with ordering (in requisition system) and invoicing, as needed. Ensure calendar is updated weekly. Requirements Requirements/Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent experience. Experience in administrative office work, operations, and project management. Two or more years in related field, preferred. Possession of (or ability to obtain) a valid Colorado Driver’s License, with an acceptable driving record. Ability to communicate clearly and calmly, being respectful and considerate to others, including de-escalation and conflict resolution skills. Ability to organize multiple projects, and to track and follow up to completion. Ability to effectively manage competing priorities. Ability to communicate using multiple methods (verbal, written – email/paper, radio, work order system, etc.). Ability to serve as a center of communication for multiple departments and employees, helping to facilitate smooth sharing of information and execution of departmental responsibilities. Intermediate Microsoft knowledge; including excel, word and outlook. Ability to speak, understand, write, and read English proficiently. Ability to assist with operations when needed, including parking cars, shoveling snow, etc. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand and walk while working; to work indoors in office environment using computer, phone, radio, etc. Ability to, at times to work outdoors, assisting with operations. Ability to work at high altitude and in extreme weather conditions. Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds. What’s in it for You?
