We are currently looking for an experienced Base Crew Foreman. For the right candidate, this position would be year-round.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Base Foreman to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the preparation of subgrades, granular bases, and related site works to ensure quality and efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a hands-on approach.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in base preparation or a related role.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a crew.
  • Strong understanding of grading, compaction, and base construction techniques.
  • Familiarity with construction equipment and tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Using Laser Level For Grades

  • Direct and supervise base crew activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other site foremen to meet project objectives.
  • Site Preparation:
  • Oversee site grading, compaction, and placement of granular materials.
  • Ensure proper equipment and techniques are used to meet quality standards.
  • Quality Control:
  • Inspect work to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Identify and address any deficiencies or issues promptly.
  • Safety Leadership:
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Conduct daily site inspections and toolbox talks.
  • Resource Management:
  • Manage equipment, materials, and manpower efficiently.
  • Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors as needed.
