Position: Base Leader - RN Department: CareFlight Air & Mobile Services Facility: Miami Valley Hospital Shift: Full time Nights 7:00pm-7:30am/ 72 Hours Per Pay Maintains all requirements and fulfills all functions of a clinical crew member. Serves as a role model for customer-focused critical care transport medicine. Recommends and implements changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of base operations and overall program performance. In collaboration with leadership team, assists in completion of new employee orientation and functions as a resource to all team members. Assures proper use of equipment and supplies, participates in the evaluation of new equipment/supplies, oversees inventory and supplies at base level. Oversees maintenance and organization of crew quarters; assures that assigned base meets regulatory agency requirements, safety standards, and infection control policy. In collaboration with outreach, participates in public relations/outreach education opportunities for service area of assigned base. Receives feedback related to flight issues/concerns; resolves issues/concerns and/or refers to appropriate senior leader for resolution. In collaboration with leadership, provides input for performance evaluation and reports deficiencies to senior leaders for follow up. Performs other duties as assigned by the leadership team. Education Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree - Or in the progress of obtaining degree Additional requirements: § Type of degree: Nurse in the State of Ohio § Area of study or major: Nursing degree (BSN Preferred) § Preferred educational qualifications: N/A § Position specific testing requirement: N/A Licensure/Certification/Registration § Paramedic or Nurse in the State of Ohio § Professional Certification plus each Certification required for Flight Nurse/Flight Paramedic Experience Minimum Level of Experience Required: 5 years of job related experience Prior job title or occupational experience: Nurse or paramedic with transport experience Prior specific functional responsibilities: N/A Preferred experience: Previous supervisory or pertinent leadership experience Other experience requirements: Minimum of two years as a Nurse or Paramedic within the department.
