Description

MINIMUM POSITION KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • The CE Operations Lead must be a USN and have at least four (4) years of experience as a supervisor and a minimum of six (6) years of experience related to the requirements and qualifications necessary to manage and perform the tasks outlined below:
  • Operations Engineering
  • Structures
  • Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R)
  • Water and Fuel Systems Maintenance (WFSM)
  • Electrical
  • Power Production & Distribution
  • Heavy Equipment/Pavement
  • Refuse Collection & Landfill
  • Pest Management
  • Special Assets
  • Custodial Services
  • The CE Operations Lead shall be located at AAAF, and must be available, physically or remotely, during emergencies related to Base Operation Infrastructure Support.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and make effective decisions.
  • Solid communications skills, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to work and lead as a member of a diverse, dynamic team.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
  • Possess a valid state issued driver’s license and passport.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
  • Prior overseas government contracting experience preferred.
Responsibilities

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The CE Operations Lead manages the day-to-day operation of a segment of the organization’s operation. Participates in developing, interpreting, and implementing policies and procedures for the organization. This position is in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) and is located at Ascension Island Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF).

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages operational support services and accompanying labor force.
  • Will be responsible for scheduling of personnel, work supervision, and quality control for all tasks.
  • Meet Contractor’s work requirements for the Base Operation Infrastructure Support.
  • Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of all assigned systems and infrastructure.
  • Ensure that all requirements are met as defined in the Performance Work Statement.
  • Effectively manage any employee management issues that may arise.
  • Closely supervises equipment and material within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Closely supervises the arrival, retrofit, and upgrade of equipment and material as assigned.
  • Submits timely reports required by the United States Government.
