HOW YOU CAN MAKE YOUR MARK

Make your mark as a Base Surveyor at Horizon Geosciences!
The Base Surveyor is responsible for providing a high level of quality assurance and control of all survey related work procedures, methodology and final survey products performed by the Company. Base Surveyor must ensure the accuracy, correctness and robustness of survey products including procedures, templates, QC logs, check lists, charts, reports and others in order to meet industry standards, Company, and Clients’ expectations.

Your responsibilities as a Base Surveyor

  • Perform assigned tasks allocated by QC Surveyor or Survey Manager.
  • Create project field folders and survey procedures and validate project required information provided on field CD / field folder, including survey data, templates, software, dongles, etc.
  • Ensure that survey equipment (for calibration) and dongles sent to the field are valid and in good working order.
  • Assess the quality of project verifications and calibrations methodology and results and corresponding corrections values have been fed in respective software, and verify the correctness of project setup parameters in accordance to the survey procedures.
  • Create survey reports as and when required and update the procedures tracking records.
  • Check land survey equipment and create the documentation for Company land survey related work.

YOUR QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE

You can make your mark as Base Surveyor if you have:

  • B.Sc. level in surveying or similar education.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the survey industry, preferably hydrographical.
  • Conversant with equipment and software used within the Company.
  • Sea Survival and medical certificates.
