ABOUT US

Bee Sports are specialised basketball coaching company for kids aged between 5 - 14 years. We aim to provide children with “best” basketball beginner experience, including learning by fun & match play. Our ultimate aim is to promote the Basketball game at the grassroot level.

Your main responsibilities are:

  • To lead and deliver or assist in delivering the ‘Bee Sports’ programme, ensuring the sessions are appropriate to age and ability of the members in order to promote enjoyment and skill progression.
  • To effectively supervise, motivate, mentor and direct support staff and volunteers (Lead Coach role).
  • To be a positive role model, creating a positive and fun environment in which to motivate and encourage young children to participate in sport or physical activity.
  • Demonstrate an appropriate level of technical knowledge.
  • Ensure the programme is delivered in a fun and enthusiastic way that maintains the interest levels of the children.
  • Use a variety of coaching styles to suit the needs of children and the situation.
  • Maintain group control and positive management of behaviour during each session.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work individually and as an effective team member.
  • Be well organised with the ability to work to timescales and demonstrate attention to detail.

Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with a wide range of customers, and other members of staff.

  • To carry out and/or delegate administrative duties as necessary (maintain accurate attendance registers, new enrolments, trial sessions, carry out risk assessments, etc.)
  • To liaise with Head Office on a weekly basis to ensure all administrative matters are up to date (completion of weekly report).
  • To abide by the BeeSports code of conduct and carry out duties on accordance with company policies, including equal opportunities, child protection, health and safety, photographic policy etc.
  • To undertake other duties and responsibilities from time to time commensurate with the post, including but not limited to local community events.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly in basketball
  • Strong teaching abilities to effectively communicate strategies and techniques
  • Excellent communication skills to foster teamwork and motivate players
  • Ability to assess player performance and provide constructive feedback
  • Knowledge of game rules, strategies, and training methodologies
  • Certification in coaching or related fields is a plus
  • Available every Saturday between 14:00 - 17:30
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: £200.00 per month
