We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Basketball Coaches to join our team for an exciting camp experience, Worcester - Valencia Basketball Camp at the University of Worcester from Sunday 17th August to Friday 22nd August 2025.

• Experienced in coaching young athletes in a camp or educational setting.
• Responsible, approachable, and able to create a positive atmosphere.
• Committed to upholding the highest standards of health, safety, and safeguarding.
• Enthusiastic about teamwork and collaboration.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Be working towards or hold a minimum of a Level 2 (England) or your country’s equivalent basketball coaching qualification.
• Hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate or ability to complete a DBS check successfully ahead of the camp.
• Be able to work well in a team environment and independently.
• Be a good communicator.
• Be able to provide a safe and fun learning environment for all participants.
• Promote equality, diversity, and safeguarding.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS

• Enthusiastic, dynamic, and passionate in their delivery.
• Experience of working in a camp environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Basketball Coach, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and challenging coaching sessions in a fun and safe environment. You will also support campers throughout their experience, ensuring their well-being and development both on and off the court. Accommodation and meals are provided to staff for the duration of the camp.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver high-quality basketball coaching sessions that are fun, engaging, and development-focused.
• Supervise and ensure the safe movement of campers between locations in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Support campers in their daily routines, ensuring they are awake and ready for breakfast and in their rooms at the agreed bedtime.
• Report any injuries to the camp sports therapists.
• Educate campers on injury prevention techniques.
• Assist the Camp Director with any additional duties as required.
• Maintain and enhance your own professional development through training opportunities.
• Promote an inclusive and supportive environment for all campers.
