Batter Mixer - 1st Shift Department: Production Employment Type: Full Time Location: Vans Kitchen, Dallas, TX Compensation: $15.00 / hour Description Tends machines and equipment that automatically mix ingredients to make straight and sponge doughs according to formula: Moves controls and turns valves to adjust metering devices that weigh, measure, sift, and convey water, flour, and shortening into mixer, and that measure and dump yeast, vitamins, yeast food, sugar, salt, and other ingredients into mixing machine. Essential Job Duties Ensure exact measurements for dough mixes are used according to standard recipe. Monitor wrapper machines for consistent quality Prepare machines and materials for production. Responsible for Pre-Op and Post-Op Sanitation. Maintain effective communication with other leads, supervisors, and management Report any food safety and/or quality issues to Production Manager immediately. Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety training programs. In the absence of Wrapper Dough Mixer, Wrapper Supervisor will cover his/her responsibilities. Identify and troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and assist maintenance personnel when necessary. Report major equipment issues to the supervisor. Key Responsibilities Competencies & Skill Requirements Familiarity with dough machines and their operation. Strong attention to detail and quality control. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects. Qualifications & Experience English language preferred High School Diploma or GED preferred; one to two years’ experience Experience with Food and Beverage industry preferred Sanitation Sweep floor, wash the trays, tables, wash carts, short simple conveyor, squeegee the water off the floor, throw out garbage. Physical Requirements: While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all equipment of the workstation and other areas as needed. Frequent lifting, bending and twisting. Lifting 50 lbs. multiple times each shift is required to complete daily tasks.
Responsibilities
