Apple's Battery organization architects, designs, builds, and tests battery modules across all Apple product lines, which require sophisticated and dynamic electrical, firmware, mechanical, and chemical designs. Over the past several years, we have delivered battery innovations in form factor, battery safety and security, gauging and charging schemes, and energy density. DESCRIPTION As an Engineering Program Manager within Apple's Product Design organization, you will play a pivotal role in bringing Apple's next-generation batteries to life. You will drive clarity from ambiguity, align cross-functional engineering teams, and ensure we deliver innovative products with exceptional quality and speed. You will own the development process from Architecture to Mass Production for our Battery Design, Integration, and Operational teams—enabling breakthrough designs and driving the decisions that move the product forward. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of technical project management experience Technical background in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Industry experience (preferably Battery or Consumer Electronics) of taking technologies from concept definition to mass production Technical project management experience in material development, mechanical design, simulation, or manufacturing process development Experience in working and managing suppliers across a diverse supply chain Experienced in setting up project plans, including interdependencies and critical path; anticipate potential roadblocks and react proactively to mitigate against risks or impacts Solid analytical skills to evaluate competing priorities; ability to comprehend, communicate and manage complex design tradeoffs Demonstrated adeptness in independently owning deliverables in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment; engaged and eager to learn Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity. Highly adept in multi-tasking of both short-term and long-term activities Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills with ability to influence and build consensus across teams; able to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience Experience with AI tools, modeling, and simulation work Ability to travel internationally
