Leidos Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Strategic Project Consulting team within our Power Delivery Solutions division. In this role, you will work alongside engineers, managers and account managers to provide Project Management Services supporting a large electric utility client in the Pacific Northwestern US. You'll play a role in driving creative Project Management Solutions for Leidos' utility client, by providing program and project support for EPC Battery Replacement programs at substations and radio stations across service territory. The PM will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects. The Project Manager will coordinate with Leidos’ client representatives to ensure compliance with project scope, schedule, and budgets. The Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring that adequate internal controls and review procedures are followed in order to eliminate conflicts, errors and omissions, and for ensuring that all technical requirements are met. This position is currently pending an anticipated Leidos contract award. This position has remote working capabilities, but will require local & regional travel to client offices and project sites. This allows us to best serve our localized utility clients as needed. Therefore, candidates should be located in or adjacent to the Pacific Northwestern US in order to be considered. Monetary relocation assistance is not available for this position. Responsibilities: Manage utility programs and projects, ensuring all phases of approved project assignments are completed efficiently and within scope, schedule and budget. Interface with utility management personnel groups including planning, asset management, engineering, construction, Take ownership of project performance, including cost, schedule, and scope management Ensure project costs, schedule and scope are managed, including the development of recovery plans, to stay within stakeholder approve project parameters. Interface with clients and internal stakeholders to address issues, report progress, and mitigate risks across the projects Manage monthly client invoicing, accruals, and accounts receivable processes Assist client procurement and estimating departments with the preparation of bid documents, development of requests for proposal responses and cost estimates. Ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality control standards Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, including clients, project teams, subcontractors, and support personnel Identify project risks and mitigation strategies Some occasional travel to project sites and/or client offices based on project needs may be required What you'll bring to the table (Required Qualifications): Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field A minimum of 7 years of progressive Project Management experience, with at least 5 years of backup battery system or related facility high-voltage project experience Experience as a Project Manager at an electric utility and/or an electric utility consulting company strongly preferred Ability to travel periodically as required, candidates should possess a valid US driver's license Must have the capability to plan, organize, direct, and track technical efforts on project tasks Strong written and verbal communication skills; Must be able to interact with customer representatives in an effective manner Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, P6) Experience with MS Office Software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) You Might Also Have (Preferred Qualifications): PMP Certification or willingness to obtain within two years Experience with battery storage and/or substation projects Demonstrated Experience working with US Electric Utilities, and a comprehensive understanding of electric power and infrastructure projects Direct experience working with electric power infrastructure projects Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams Experience with PowerBI and/or visualization tools At Leidos, we pride ourselves on being a trusted and technology-focused solutions provider.
