JOB PURPOSE

After training, this position will independently perform battery formation, thermal conditioning, as well as all kinds of battery performance testing. Perform all job requirements in accordance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Procedures. Calibrate the battery testing machines and make the fixtures and the wiring for the testing channels. Report the problems of the testing machines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carefully read and follow the work orders or requests
• Be able to use all special tools properly
• Perform battery formation and thermal conditioning
• Carry out battery performance test such as rate capacity, pulse, cycle life, storage, overcharge, impact, nail, hotbox etc.
• Trouble shooting and repair cables, connectors
• Properly identify and order all necessary replacement parts
• Calibrate the battery testing channels
• Wire the testing channels for the cell testing
• Maintain battery formation and testing equipment
• Document proper procedures, data and findings
• Wear assigned PPE while handling batteries.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
