QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • A great position for those eager to gain experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Strong time-management skills to efficiently prepare and stock the deli.
  • A mature and self-reliant approach, with the ability to work unsupervised.
  • A positive attitude and interest in learning more about food preparation and kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
  • Arrive on time as scheduled and open the kitchen for the day’s work.
  • Grill and prepare BBQ lunches for high-end tour groups, ensuring exceptional presentation and quality.
  • Stock the deli with fresh items, including sandwiches, wraps, salads, and baked goods, ensuring availability for guests.
  • Use quantity estimates and updated business information to prepare the appropriate amount of product.
  • Assist with prepping meals for set-menu lunch and dinner groups.
  • Handle and properly store deliveries, typically arriving twice weekly.
  • Maintain and tidy work areas, including the deli, dry goods room, and kitchen sections.
  • Support the Chef and Sous Chef with various kitchen duties and prep tasks as required.
  • Provide occasional assistance to the Breakfast Cook during busy periods or group rushes.
