KEY OUTPUT

  • Support the Operational Excellence team to achieve the Business Units BBS commitments
  • Help develop the relevant metrics, financial justification and valuation for BBS initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for replication of best practices
  • Deliver the required BBS concepts training to various teams, as required, within a Business Unit

Content for communication activities.

  • Actively facilitate the drive for improvement in process metrics, targeted financial benefits and achieve company goals.
  • Highlight timeously any barriers to the delivery of BBS to the Business Unit Lead.
  • Facilitate and support change management and the necessary guidance for the implementation

of new/revised solutions.

  • Provide updates on the performance of assigned areas of responsibility to the Operational
  • Excellence team and Business Unit leadership as required
  • Ensure BBS is operating as per standard within the area of responsibility which would include

daily assistance with the management of the Process Control Boards at the Gemba,

  • Support the required BBS cultural change
  • Help create an enabling environment for the embedding of BBS
  • Utilise the methodology of simplification, augmentation and automation to identify opportunities

to automated processes

  • Assist event team leaders in preparation to close out A3
  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly Mission Control updates
  • Facilitate PSE and RIE

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION:

  • Senior Certificate
  • NQF 5 qualification
  • Successful completion of BBS Lean Awareness
  • Valid Driver’s Licence

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Clear understanding of requirements for behaviour and technical Coaching / Facilitation
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Participation in a Rapid Improvement Event (RIE’s)
  • Demonstrated experience as a lean/continuous improvement
  • Successful demonstration of project management/implementation
  • Intermediate computer literacy (MS Office)
