BCA Computing Architect (Senior or Lead) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) Information Digital Technology and Security (IDT&S) is currently seeking a BCA Computing Architect (Senior or Lead) to join the Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) Architecture Team in Everett, WA or North Charleston, SC. Our organization leverages data-driven advanced analytics to support key business decisions and leads digital transformation initiatives across Boeing Commercial Airplane programs through architecture, business integration, and digital thread activities. As the Computing Architect, you will lead a team in defining a systems-of-systems architecture tailored to manufacturing environments and integrate across the entire value stream. This role ensures that manufacturing architectures are scalable, secure, and efficient, while supporting factory digital modernization, automation, and acquisition/divestiture initiatives. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and IT teams to align technology strategies with production goals. Position Responsibilities: Lead BCA system integration to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient systems-of-systems architecture tailored to manufacturing environments Drive integration of manufacturing architecture across the entire value stream to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency Champion factory digital modernization, automation, and acquisition/divestiture initiatives by providing architectural guidance Collaborate with business leaders of manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and IT teams to align technology strategies with production and business objectives Lead, mentor, and develop a team of architects and technical professionals to drive insights for BCA decision Utilize advanced analytics and data-driven insights to inform manufacturing architectural decisions to support key business initiatives Facilitate digital transformation efforts by integrating architecture, business processes, and digital thread capabilities to enhance program outcomes Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve performance, scalability, and security Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor’s degree or higher 5+ years of experience with architectural frameworks covering enterprise architecture, business architecture or IT architecture 5+ years of experience in manufacturing systems and processes 5+ years of experience with data classification and security 5+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Experience with containerization, virtualization, and automation tools Experience with DevOps practices and tools Experience with Industrial Internet of Things Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
