DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dedicated BCBA Grad Student to join Applebury Behavior Associates. The position offers valuable training opportunities necessary for pursuing a career as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and provides hands-on experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, implementing behavior plans designed by a BCBA. The BCBA Grad Student will receive comprehensive training on essential components such as the BACB Task List, professional writing, and leadership skills, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience by adhering to the supervised fieldwork criteria established by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). This position reports to clinicians and the Clinical Director.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Current student status or completion of master’s program in Applied Behavior Analysis is required.
  • Certified Registered Behavioral Technician is preferred.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERTISE

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Comfortable working with medical documentation and records.
Responsibilities
  • Work directly with and under the supervision of a BCBA to manage assigned caseload.
  • Assist with programming needs for assigned caseload, e.g., consultation, assessment administration, treatment plan creation, etc.
  • Document and maintain all supervision records according to BACB Guidelines.
  • Provide support and training to client guardians, parents, and BTs.
  • Participate in both formal and informal supervision meetings and other related tasks.
