Overview This position is responsible for preparing, coordinating and training for department associates and participants/families based on the principles and techniques of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Starting salary $87,000 per year. Responsibilities Provides and coordinates on-going competency-based staff training. Attends staff meetings, inservices, trainings, and other meetings as requested. Facilitates and measures training programs. Consults with Director of Training and Quality to assess professional development training; identify performance deficiencies. Ensure training content meets program goals. In collaboration with Director of Training and Quality, recommends, develops, and oversees updates to existing training materials for continuous improvement of course and program content. Partners with department heads to identify areas of concern and areas for improvement to ensure trainings are effective. Maintains a training system and records. Monitors annual trainings to ensure department associates maintain certifications; includes providing supervisors with timely notifications of certificate expiration. Qualifications Master's degree in one of the following disciplines: early childhood education/ development, early childhood special education, special education, psychology or related filed. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) required. Five years' experience using principles and techniques in behavior analysis with children with autism and related disorders. Expertise in approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. Expert knowledge and experience with behavior analysis teaching/training techniques used in organizational settings. Familiar with the approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis found to benefit children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD); competent in employing and. directing behavior analytic methodologies; knowledgeable in the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VBMAPP) and other assessment measures; well-versed in current related research findings. Expertise in all empirically evaluated assessment and intervention strategies related to program and service delivery for individuals with ASD.
