Description Boater’s World Lake Placid is seeking a driven and results-oriented BDC Sales Manager with a proven background in lead generation, inside sales, and customer relationship management — preferably within the marine, recreational, or powersports industries. This position will lead our Business Development Center (BDC) team to generate high-quality sales opportunities, maximize conversion rates, and ensure every customer interaction reflects our reputation for outstanding service. The BDC Sales Manager will oversee inbound and outbound communications, track performance metrics, and implement proven processes to keep the sales pipeline full and active. Key Responsibilities Lead, train, and motivate BDC team members to meet and exceed appointment, lead conversion, and sales support goals. Manage all inbound and outbound customer communications via phone, email, and online leads to ensure prompt, professional responses. Implement proven scripts, follow-up schedules, and CRM best practices to maximize conversion rates. Work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to coordinate promotions, events, and lead-generation campaigns. Track and analyze BDC performance metrics, providing regular reports and improvement strategies to the General Manager. Ensure accurate data entry and tracking in the dealership’s CRM and lead management systems. Maintain a deep understanding of our marine product lines, promotions, and financing options to effectively support the sales process. Develop and implement training programs to improve product knowledge, communication skills, and customer engagement. Assist in resolving escalated customer inquiries to ensure satisfaction and protect the dealership’s reputation. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and online presence to identify new business opportunities. Requirements 3+ years of management experience in a BDC, inside sales, or call center role — marine, recreational, or powersports industry experience strongly preferred. Proven track record of achieving lead conversion and appointment-setting goals. Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop a team. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with a professional phone presence. Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with dealership management systems (DMS) a plus. Ability to analyze performance data and create actionable improvement plans. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Flexibility to work weekends and extended hours during peak boating season. Preferred Qualifications Background in marine or recreational sales with a strong understanding of customer buying behaviors. Experience implementing automated follow-up systems or lead-nurturing campaigns. Familiarity with social media and online lead-generation strategies. Working Conditions Office and call center environment within the dealership. Regular collaboration with sales, service, and marketing departments. Occasional weekend and event participation required.
