Description
About the Role Contextual is looking for a resourceful, high-energy BDR / Growth Hacker to be the tip of the spear for our go-to-market efforts. This isn't a script-and-dial role. You'll own multichannel outbound from research to first meeting—while also thinking like a growth marketer about how to reach new industries, test new channels, and turn cold markets into warm pipelines. You'll be the first dedicated hire in this function, reporting to a sales/revenue leader, with real autonomy to experiment and build what works. Key Responsibilities Execute high-volume, multichannel outbound campaigns across email, phone, LinkedIn, events, and emerging channels—with a focus on quality over automation. Research target industries, companies, and personas before outreach so every touchpoint is informed and relevant—never purely cold. Develop and test go-to-market hypotheses for new verticals and audiences. If we want to penetrate a new industry, you figure out where they hang out, what they read, which podcasts they listen to, and how to get in front of them. Experiment with creative demand generation tactics—landing pages, micro-campaigns, community engagement, partnerships—and measure what moves the needle. Craft crisp, compelling messaging tailored to different personas and channels. Adapt tone, angle, and approach based on what's working. Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities for the sales team through disciplined prospecting and follow-up. Track outreach data, conversion metrics, and campaign performance to continuously refine your approach with data-driven insight. Collaborate with sales leadership and marketing to align on target accounts, messaging, and campaign strategy. Stay plugged into industry trends, competitive landscape, and buyer behavior to keep outbound strategies sharp and relevant. Requirements: 0–3 years of experience in outbound sales, business development, demand generation, or growth marketing. Demonstrated hustle and resourcefulness—whether through professional experience, side projects, campus organizations, or entrepreneurial ventures. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to be concise, persuasive, and authentic across channels. Comfort with experimentation and a data-driven mindset—you test ideas, track results, and iterate quickly. Research skills and intellectual curiosity—you enjoy learning about new industries, mapping ecosystems, and finding creative angles to reach people. High sense of urgency and bias toward action. You don't wait to be told what to do. Familiarity with outbound tools and CRMs (e.g., HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach) is a plus but not required. Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to B2B technology, SaaS, AI, or consulting services. Experience building or contributing to outbound playbooks, sequences, or campaign strategies. Comfort working in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with limited structure. Interest in AI, automation, and digital transformation trends. Basic understanding of marketing analytics, A/B testing, or conversion optimization. What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package. Unlimited vacation, where time off is encouraged. Flexible working hours and remote work options. Opportunities for professional growth and development. Collaborative and inclusive work environment. The chance to work on innovative projects with a talented team.
