Description

In this role, you will be working in Veson Nautical’s Data Intelligence division. The Data Intelligence division combines the leading VesselsValue, Q88 and Oceanbolt brands into a World leading suite of online, analytical and regulatory products for the commercial Maritime sector.
We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented individual to join our growing global business development and lead generation team within the Data Intelligence business unit. This is an individual contributor with a personal quota as well developing into management function, responsible for building and leading a high-performing team of Lead Generation executives dedicated to selling our data intelligence solutions and services. You will be instrumental in driving revenue growth and market share expansion for the department.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years senior level individual contributor experience as a sales, business development or lead generation representative with experience of mentoring and team leadership in either DaaS, Market Data, Data Intelligence, SaaS/Software related services, preferably within the maritime, commodities or trading industry - we are willing to cross-train from other sectors such as banking, finance, insurance, risk and regulatory B2B
  • Proven track record of exceeding personal sales targets and with the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams
  • Confident with outreach via cold calling as well as experience of utilising sales application tools such as Salesforce, Zoominfo, SalesHub, Hubspot, LinkedIn Salesnav,
  • Strong understanding of subscription sales processes and B2B sales methodologies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to effectively coach and motivate others
  • Data-driven approach to decision making
  • Strong understanding of the maritime industry and data intelligence landscape (a plus)
Responsibilities
  • Achieving personal targets and leading by example when managing a growing, high-performing team of graduate and associate level Lead Generation Executives, providing them with coaching, mentorship, and training to achieve their targets
  • Implement and lead a newly formed Associate Program, focusing on young professionals and early career development
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and processes for the data intelligence product portfolio
  • Holding your team accountable for achieving targets and objectives
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders within the organization and externally
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor landscape to identify new sales opportunities
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Contribute to the overall growth and success of the data intelligence department
