Your Role As a Speech and Language Pathologist at the Be ME Center, you will support children's communication development within a neurodiversity-affirming, play-based environment. Therapy at Be ME happens both in dedicated sessions and naturally through classroom play, routines, and peer interaction. Key Responsibilities Conduct speech and language assessments Develop individualized and group therapy plans Provide individual and small group therapy sessions Embed communication support into classroom routines and play Collaborate with director and classroom team Communicate regularly with families Complete required documentation Maintain educational certifications and licensing Attend all staff and clinical meeting, including Be ME events Position Details Caseload of up to 6 children per program session (AM/PM sessions) Treatment includes individual and group sessions weekly Transdisciplinary team – great with daily collaboration Approximately 40 hours per week for billing, classroom support and collaboration (this includes your billing and documentation time) QualificationsWhat We’re Looking For - Proven leadership and administrative skills with a deep love for neurodiverse children and their families. - Licensed Speech and Language Pathologist with 1-2 years of experience in providing direct therapy to children, conducting assessments, and developing intervention plans. - An enthusiastic, flexible, collaborative and dedicated individual with a genuine interest in improving outcomes for autistic children through a play-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate respect for all clients. - A clean criminal history. - Physical capability to engage actively with children, including sitting on the floor and lifting up to 30 pounds.
Responsibilities
The Speech and Language Pathologist will conduct speech and language assessments, develop individualized and group therapy plans, and provide therapy sessions within a play-based, neurodiversity-affirming environment.
