Job Summary: The Beach Maintenance Attendant is responsible for performing duties to maintain proper standards of cleanliness and sanitation at the Quarry. This is a seasonal position. Essential Functions: 1. Monitor the appearance of the Quarry facilities by keeping the areas clean and sanitize tables, restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures. 2. Pick up lose trash and empty garbage cans inside and outside of Quarry. 3. Clean up spills and mess in concession and other areas of the Park. 4. Rake beach and remove rocks as needed. 5. Daily maintenance of the beach including sand removal. 6. Power wash diving tower. 7. Organize picnic tables for patron use. Education and Experience: This position requires one year of service experience and 18 years of age. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Aptitude to operate maintenance machinery, i.e. power washer, leaf blower. 2. First Aid/CPR Certified. 3. Ability to communicate with the public. 4. Ability to deal with residents under stressful conditions. 5. Problem-solving skills. 6. Understand and anticipate customer’s needs as well as support a customer service environment. 7. Ability to portray a professional image of the District. 8. Perform all job and tasks within guidelines and rules of District’s safety program. 9. Adhere to the time and attendance policy. 10. Adhere to the dress code policy. 11. Adhere to the Districts CORE Values. 12. Complete other duties as assigned. Physical Demands/Work Environment: * Requires frequent sitting and walking with occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling and crouching. * Occasionally lifts and/or moves items weighing up to 30 pounds. * Most activities are performed outdoors; including sunny, hot, humid and wet conditions. * Exposure to a quiet noise level while in office and a moderately loud level while outside. * Hours for position are between 10:30am - 7:00pm daily. Responsibilities

The Beach Maintenance Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards at the Quarry by cleaning and sanitizing facilities, emptying trash, and cleaning spills. Essential duties also include daily beach maintenance such as raking, sand removal, power washing the diving tower, and organizing picnic tables.
