BEACHCLUB SUPERVISOR

As a Beachclub Supervisor, you are the face of The Kontiki and you play a key role in creating an unforgettable experience.You are ultimately responsible for managing the employees with a focus on Service, qualitative and quantitative objectives and generating management information for management. You are responsible for the quality of the service provided and advice to guests in all phases of the stay in the restaurant or on the beach.

Responsibilities

The Beachclub Supervisor is responsible for:

  • Execution of all work within the restaurant, beach and/or bar.
  • First point of contact for both the service and or bar staff and the guests.
  • Making the daily layout of the beach and/or restaurant & passing on defects to the All-Round Manager on duty and following up on the defects reported.
  • Ensuring correct complaints handling on the beach and/or restaurant.
  • Controlling, coordinating and motivating the service and bar staff.
  • Training or onboarding new staff.
  • Monitoring service and quality.
  • Take care of the development and management of the serving staff and/or bar staff and the optimal use of the qualities present.
  • Responsible for the realization of the objectives in terms of service, quality and turnover (upselling).
  • Draws up cash daily and reports the day or evening closing.
  • Reports to the All-Round Manager.
  • Keep track of all restaurants and/or beach reservations.
  • Is in contact with the hotel regarding the special wishes of our hotel guests.
  • Keeps an eye on the event board and plays an active role in planning and execution.
  • Participate in weekly consultations.
  • Checking whether all cleaning work in and around the restaurant has been done by means of start-up and shutdown lists.
  • In the absence of an All-Round Manager, take up his/her tasks in collaboration with the F&B Manager.

You also bring:

  • Minimum MBO working and thinking level
  • Hospitality, tourism, hotel school, or similar training is an advantage
  • At least 1 year of experience in a managerial position
  • Passion for hospitality
  • Flexible employability, evenings/weekends/holidays
  • Able to build relationships with guests
  • Has an enthusiastic, friendly, and guest-oriented personality
  • Is outgoing, communicative, and impeccable looking (presentation)
  • You have verbal and written knowledge of the Dutch and English language. (Spanish and Papiamento are also desired)
  • Able to stand for long periods during an 8-hour shift
  • You have knowledge of Word and Excel and can set up, work out and answer mail.
