Location & Environment:
The Leah’s Wax Works Miranda is located at 2013/600 Kingsway, Miranda NSW 2228 is inside Westfield Miranda Shopping Centre, one of the largest shopping centres in Sydney with more than 400 specialty stores and extensive amenities. It is a “Beauty sanctuary” with a relaxing and enjoyable ambiance. Professional, clean, and hygienic treatment rooms Friendly, approachable staff who create a comfortable experience even for first-time or nervous clients.
We seek an applicant who has at least 1 year or more prior experience at highly reputed salons in Australia. The applicant should demonstrate the following skills:
· Waxing tec
· Laser hair removal experience (desirable)
· Facial therapy and skincare knowledge
· Lash and brow treatments
· Manicure and pedicure
· Spray tanning
· Makeup applications
· Professional massage techniques
Your tasks and duties in will include:
· discussing client needs, analysing skin characteristics and advising on suitable skin care, treatments and application of make-up
· applying general cosmetic and corrective make-up
· performing manicures and pedicures including decorative nail art, application of artificial nails, nail repair, and other specialised hand and foot treatments
· performing facial and body treatments such as massages
· treating unwanted hair through waxing, bleaching, tinting, depilation and electrolysis
· evaluating beauty therapy processes and products
· receiving bookings, arranging appointments and maintaining client records
· providing advice on and selling cosmetic products
You should have the following professional attributes:
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to make clients feel comfortable and valued
· Client-cantered approach with empathy, discretion, and tact
· Ability to make clients “feel great about themselves” - core to Leah’s philosophy
· Building long-term client relationships - some clients have been with Leah’s for decades
You must hold AQF Diploma of Beauty Therapy with at least 1-year relevant work experience as a Beauty Therapist in reputed beauty salons in Australia. You must be an Australian citizen or Australian PR.
