Summary The Beauty Section Manager is responsible for the effective management of the beauty section, ensuring excellence in sales, customer experience, visual merchandising, and team performance. This role supports the store leadership team by driving departmental goals and maintaining Don Don Donki’s standard of service and product presentation. Job Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to Sales & Performance Drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for the beauty department. Conduct regular sales analysis and identify strategies to boost performance. Monitor underperforming items and implement actions to improve turnover. Team Leadership & Scheduling Supervise and support team members during shifts. Prepare and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and non-peak hours. Provide training and coaching to improve product knowledge, service standards, and sales techniques. Customer Experience Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor to engage customers and support staff. Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service consistency. Merchandising & Visual Standards Oversee all merchandising activities for the beauty section. Ensure products are well stocked, properly displayed, and aligned with promotional themes. Keep the department clean, organized, and visually appealing always. Inventory & Ordering Manage inventory levels by tracking stock movement and adjusting orders accordingly. Conduct regular stock checks, identify low performing items, and report discrepancies. Communicate with buyers or vendors when needed to ensure timely delivery and accurate product assortment. Other duties as instructed or assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises employees in the Beauty Section. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with PPRM’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; providing feedback and input for performance reviews; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience A high school diploma or equivalent preferred; three to five years in a retail and buying environment, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role within a merchandise or retail setting; strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to multitask, work under pressure, and solve problems effectively; knowledge of cosmetic brands, skincare trends, and customer preferences is a strong advantage; or any equivalent combination of formal training and/or experience which provided the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities thereof. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business data and effectively respond to the data. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from vendors, customers, employees, or others involved or associated in the warehouse section function. Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts relevant to the role such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. General knowledge of basic accounting a plus. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations A valid driver’s license and Health Certificate, or ability to obtain a certification is required for this position. Lifting and Carrying: Handling merchandise, restocking shelves, and assisting with inventory management might involve lifting and carrying boxes or items of various weights, typically up to 25-50 pounds. Bending and Reaching: Tasks like rearranging merchandise displays, stocking shelves, or retrieving items for customers may require frequent bending, reaching, and stretching. Work Environment: The work environment can be fast-paced and dynamic, involving exposure to moderate noise levels, interaction with customers and staff, and occasional stress due to managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Visual and Mental Demands: The role involves constant attention to detail, often requiring the ability to read small print, assess merchandise quality, analyze sales data, and make strategic decisions. Mental agility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently are essential. Schedule Flexibility: This role might require flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the retail schedule, potentially leading to irregular or extended work hours.
