POSITION OVERVIEW

The Beauty Therapist position is responsible for providing professional beauty treatments while assisting the management team when needed. You will be responsible for consulting with clients, analysing skin characteristics, advising on appropriate treatments, and performing a range of beauty therapy services. Additionally, you will support salon operations, assist in sales, and ensure compliance with salon policies and procedures.

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED

• Minimum Certificate IV in Beauty Therapy or equivalent qualifications.
• At least one year of relevant experience in a salon setting
• Excellent customer service skills with a passion for the beauty industry.
• Strong knowledge of beauty therapy, particularly hair removal techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to motivate and support team members.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain salon standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in handling customer complaints.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations in a salon environment.

· Client Consultation & Beauty Treatments

• Discuss client needs and assess skin characteristics to recommend suitable treatments and skincare routines.
• Provide general cosmetic and corrective makeup application.
• Perform manicures and pedicures, including decorative nail art, artificial nail applications, and nail repair.
• Carry out specialised hand and foot treatments.
• Administer facial and body treatments, including massages.
• Perform hair removal treatments such as waxing, tinting, bleaching, depilation, and electrolysis.
• Evaluate and recommend beauty therapy processes and products tailored to client needs.

· Client Bookings & Administrative Duties

• Manage client bookings and arrange appointments efficiently.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment history and product preferences.
• Ensure salon hygiene and treatment standards comply with health and safety regulations.

· Retail & Sales Support

• Provide expert advice on cosmetic products and treatments.
• Promote and sell skincare, makeup, and other beauty products to enhance client care.
• Keep up to date with new beauty trends, treatments, and product offerings.
