Are you outgoing, highly motivated and want to make a real difference to patient care and experience? If so, we want to hear from you! An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 nurse to join the Bed Management Team.
This is a challenging, varied role, where you will use your nursing, operational and organisational expertise to the full. You will also provide advice, support and information, ensuring efficient streamlining of a patients journey to facilitate “Right Patient, Right Bed”.
You will be required to provide the hospital with a single source of accurate and up to date information at all times on bed occupancy and Emergency Department waiting times.
The successful candidate will be part of a team providing site cover 7 days per week 24 hours per day. You must computer literate with an eye for detail and demonstrate excellent communication skills. It is essential to be able to work independently and as part of a team.
To be responsible for the efficient and effective utilisation of bed resources ensuring the safe clinical placement of patients across the hospital site..
To always act in a manner consistent with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, carrying out his/her duties in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
