Deep River Nursery School and Child Care Centre is a licensed child care center which provides quality care to families in the Deep River and surrounding areas.
The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for teaching young children, and dedication to helping develop and support their educational growth while encouraging social interactions.

Qualification:

• Excellent communication skills - written and verbally
• Member in good standing of the College of Early Childhood Educators or Ontario College of Teachers or a diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care or a diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure services is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Holder of a valid Standard First Aid/CPR-C Certificate
• Vulnerable Sector Check – within the last six months months
• Fundamental knowledge of Child Care and Early Years Act
• Ability to deliver high quality programming to children
• Excellent leadership and problem solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills and initiative
• Ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with children, co-workers, and parents
• Ability to meet the physical demands of this position – must be able to lift minimum 25lb

• Planning and implementing a quality Before and After School Program for children 4 to 12 years of age
• Ensuring the supervision and safety of the children in the program
• Fostering the children’s curiosity and facilitating activities based on their interests and needs
• Building positive relationships with the children, families and school community
• Following the Child Care and Early Years Act requirements and Deep River Nursery School and Child Care Center policies and procedures
