We are seeking a dedicated before and after School teaching team to learn along with and inspire young minds. You will play a key role in providing a safe meaningful before and after school environment that is not only positive but innovative. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives through providing an engaging after school curriculum for children Kindergarten to Grade 4 .
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement after school activities that are engaging and inspired by the group you are a part of.
- Be available for either /and before and after school times 7-9am and 2:30-6pm. On occasion for pro d days and early dismissal.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for co-workers and your cohort of kids.
-Prepare and innovate healthy snacks for hungry kids.
- Evaluate and monitor ongoing engagement with families and think outside the box for extra curricular fun.
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and school administration
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
- Maintain accurate records of students’ individudalized needs and interests and build / scaffold accordingly
Experience:
- Working in a school age program for atleast one year.
- Student in bachelor’s degree in Education or related field will be considered or ECEA an asset.
- Valid First aid license.
- Proven experience in teaching, preferably in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt guiding and curriulum efforts to meet the diverse needs of children in your care.
- Familiarity with age group kindergarten to Grade 4.
-Light housekeeping and sound computer ability.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.50 per hour
