OVERVIEW

Kare 4 Kids is looking for qualified individuals to staff the part-time position of Activity Leader for our Before and After School Programs, located in the Emerald Park/White City area. The available hours for this position are (Monday – Friday 6:45 – 9:45 and/or 3:00-6:00pm). The start date will be as soon as possible. This is the perfect opportunity for university or college students as the hours are a wonderful fit with classes. The Activity Leader will work closely with students, providing educational support and guidance while creating an inclusive atmosphere that encourages curiosity and growth.

REQUIREMENTS

• A background in early childhood education or related field is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children.
• Ability to follow instructions and directions; follow company policies and procedures
• Comfortable working indoors and out
• A completed clean criminal record check
• Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.

• Ensure a safe and positive environment for all children under your care.
• Follow the programming set out by the Supervisor
• Assist in the completion of art projects, crafts, and physical & educational activities.
• Be an enthusiastic team member, sharing ideas to help the program operate at its very best.
• Maintain a sense of community and structure within the program.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment conducive to learning and exploration.
• Engage with children through interactive play, educational games, and hands-on activities that promote learning.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive program that meets the needs of all students.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all materials are readily available for use.
