Term: Permanent, Part-Time
Hours: 15 hours per week
Shift: Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 5:00pm
Start Date: August 18th, 2025
Salary: $21.00 per hour
Reports To: Team Leader

NATURE & SCOPE
Join Our Team! We’re seeking a compassionate and collaborative individual to support our inclusive before and after school program. In this part-time role, you’ll work closely with a dedicated staff team to create a welcoming environment where all children—regardless of their needs—can thrive. Responsibilities include supervising activities, providing individual support when needed, helping children navigate conflict, and role modeling positive behaviors. You’ll contribute to care plans, support children’s strengths, maintain an appropriate child to staff ratio, and ensure every child feels included and supported. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a child’s day while fostering a community of belonging and growth.
Major Responsibilities- in this position, you will:
- Collaborate effectively with team members to foster an inclusive environment that offers support, strategies, and resources for children with diverse needs to fully engage in the program.
- Provide individualized support to children as needed within the program setting.
- Contribute to a community culture of inclusion by recognizing and supporting each child’s unique strengths and areas for growth.
- Support children in resolving conflicts and consistently model respectful, positive behavior.
- Assist in the creation, implementation, and ongoing review of individualized care plans to ensure consistent and responsive support.
- Help maintain an enhanced staff-to-child ratio to ensure all children receive the attention they need, including one-on-one support when appropriate.
Qualification-you bring:
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Experience working with children 5 – 12
- Emergency First Aid and CRC – C & AED
- 20 hours of training in Child Development, Child Guidance and/or Nutrition an asset
- Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references
- Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.
