Overview The Behavioral Rehabilitation Assistant I will provide direct care and one-to-one supervision of patients admitted to the inpatient unit, following department guidelines and written treatment protocols. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care as assigned, including the review and implementation of behavior management protocols and accurate collection of data on specified behavior(s). Provide remote monitoring (i.e. tele-sitting) as assigned (typically 1-3 patients at a time), including review of patient protocol and accurate collection of data on specified behavior(s). Assist with implementation of the patient’s daily schedule of therapeutic activities with attention to patient safety and level of adaptive skills. Intervene as needed according to behavioral training and protocols to maintain safety of patients and/or others. Use safe handling and physical management procedures. Assist in the implementation of protocols following instruction as incorporated into ambulation, feeding, positioning, toileting, splinting, etc. Provide assistance and/or 1:1 interaction with the patient upon request from interdisciplinary team members. Assist in the assessment of adaptive, leisure, and self-help skills; potential reinforcers; and problem behaviors. Assist in the implementation of skill training programs incorporated into the patient’s daily schedule of activities. Review and implement behavior management protocols on a daily basis. Provide daily record of patient care activities and collect accurate data on specified behavior(s). Benefits EDUCATION: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. EXPERIENCE: Minimum six months of experience working in a multidisciplinary or interdisciplinary treatment setting required, to include experience implementing treatment programs with children and/or adolescents with medical and/or mental health conditions, is preferred. Minimum pay range USD $32,423.04/Yr. Maximum pay range USD $50,596.42/Yr.
