The Behavior Support Specialist will assess an individual and develop a complete plan, which outlines support strategies to address specific target behaviors as identified in the assessment process. The Behavior Support Specialist will be responsible for training the Direct Support staff, and the identified Program Director (PD) on all aspects of the Behavioral Support Plan. The Behavior Support Specialist will also be responsible for providing on-going consultation and assistance to the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) for the purpose of updating the plan in response to the changing behavioral needs of the person served. Qualifications What Makes You A Great Fit: Bachelor’s degree (Master's degree preferred) in a related human services field One (1) year of experience working with and for persons with developmental disabilities (DDD or I/DD) One (1) year of experience in design, implementation, and evaluation of behavioral support plans. Responsibilities
