Description Behavior Specialist Position: Behavior Specialists focus on supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live a full and meaningful life. In your role, you will get to know each person and begin to develop a plan to address the goals they have for themselves. You will create person-centered documents, such as a Functional Behavior Assessment, Behavior Support Plan, or Consultation Plan. Once the plan is completed, you will begin implementing the plan through weekly sessions with a person to work on behavioral goals. Through consultation and training, you will also work with each person’s support system, like family, friends, and other support providers.
